Terms of Use

1. Provider

By downloading or using TrueThings, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. The Service

TrueThings is an iOS app designed for couples. It offers couple games, daily date ideas, shared to-do lists, a photo gallery, and home screen widgets. The Service is provided "as is" and may be updated, changed, or discontinued at any time.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 17 years old to use TrueThings. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under the applicable age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have parental consent.

4. Account & Couple Pairing

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. TrueThings is designed for use by two people (a couple). By connecting your account to a partner's account, you acknowledge that certain content you create within the app — such as photos, to-do items, and game answers — will be visible to your partner.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

Full access to TrueThings requires an active subscription. Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to Apple's payment terms.

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
• We do not process payment data directly — all billing is handled by Apple.
• Refunds are subject to Apple's refund policy.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you create within TrueThings (photos, notes, etc.). By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you and your partner.

You are solely responsible for any content you upload. You must not upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes third-party rights.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
• Upload malicious code or interfere with the Service's operation
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and branding within TrueThings — including the name, logo, and app interface — is the property of Hannes Heißmeyer and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without prior written consent.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service if you breach these Terms, without prior notice.

Upon account deletion, your personal data and user-generated content will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, our liability is limited to cases of wilful misconduct and gross negligence. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, as required by mandatory German law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you also benefit from any mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

The place of jurisdiction for any disputes, if you are a merchant (Kaufmann), is Hannover, Germany.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email where possible. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
